Did We Break Nature?

From hurricanes to wildfires to earthquakes, nature has not been friendly to us these past couple weeks. Between the lives lost and the homes destroyed, I think it fair to say that it's been downright cruel.

Many have been quick to blame these natural disasters on man-made climate change.

"We broke nature!" they cry.

Well, did we break nature?

Polygamy: Mo Women Mo Problems

This past week has been very special. My absolutely incredible wife gave birth to our third kiddo, our beautiful Charlotte Faith. If you know our family, you likely already know that it was a doozy of a pregnancy, and we're just thankful to finally have her in our arms.

So a special week, but an exhausting week.

I had considered writing out the story of the past few months here, as it's been a unique season for our family. But, to be quite honest, I don't think I have the emotional energy. So I am instead taking the lazy way out and writing about something a little more fun:  Polygamy.

This is actually a topic I've thought of writing on for a while, so I can now cross it off my list.

In the 60's, Martin Luther King Jr. spoke out against a rampant cultural evil:  Racism. And it cost him dearly. On April 4th, 1968, he gave the ultimate price, a martyr for the cause of equality.

While taking a stand against the powers that be may not always cost you your life, it will always cost you something.
